Russian scientists have finally managed to replicate the concept of time travel and create their own rendition of the Tardis from Doctor Who. You might think that’s a bit of a stretch, but this discovery is extremely important to us as a species as it entails that we’ve finally managed to uncover the secrets behind the basis of time traveling. We can only go up from here on.
The team actually described it as moving in the opposite direction of “time’s arrow”, as they were able to effectively move tiny particles a fraction of a second into the past with relative ease.
By using quantum mechanics, they managed to scatter electrons, and instead of leaving them to haphazardly spread across time and space, they were able to control their trajectory thanks to a special quantum computer of some sort.
These broken pool balls that were used in the experiment were able to realign themselves to their original formation by a fraction of a second.
The team which worked for the Laboratory of the Physics from Moscow Institute of Physics and technology stated that in doing so they managed to defy the second law of thermodynamics and time travel.
The quantum computer is made up of qubits and is able to launch the evolution program with relative ease. To the naked eye this appears as though time moves backward, said Dr. Gordey Lesovik, the lead scientist.
